Multi-vehicle wreck closes part of Genesee St in Lancaster

ERIE COUNTY, NY – Authorities responded to a three-car collision Thursday evening, June 6, on a stretch of Genesee Street in Lancaster, according to WIVB 4.

The wreck, which closed a section of the road between Harris Hill and Stony roads, occurred just after 5:00 p.m.

It’s unclear at this time what events led up to the crash, but Lancaster police and Bowmansville fire crews were called to the scene.

The closure remained in place for at least three hours, suggesting a more involved emergency response.

Shortly after 8:00 p.m., all travel lanes were reopened to the public.

No injuries or hospitalizations were immediately confirmed.
